COLOUR CODING
The standard Bentley Campus Map has been divided into four colour zones – purple, green, red and blue. These colours are repeated on the directional signposts located throughout the campus, but are not used on the Bentley Access Map due to colour contrasting requirements for vision-impairment.

RAMPS
The ramp pathways are marked with a directional arrow on the map. The arrow indicates the direction of the increasing incline.

HILLY CAMPUS
The Bentley campus is a large hilly site. Some paths are steeper than others and occasionally inaccessible. Always allow more time to travel than you normally would. Seating (for rests) is displayed on the map.

PARKING IN DISABLED BAYS
These bays are marked in BLUE. Any student, staff member or visitor can park in a blue bay, providing he/she displays a current ACROD Parking permit, or a Curtin Special Parking permit. Special Parking permits can be obtained from the Parking and Traffic Office on provision of a current letter from a medical practitioner.

WHEELCHAIR RE-CHARGING/STORAGE FACILITY
The re-charging facility (building 304) is provided for overnight storage and daytime re-charging of wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Only dry-cell batteries can be re-charged in this facility. To obtain access to this facility, please contact the Counsellor (Disability) on 08 9266 7850 or in building 109, for further details. STEPS
Large sets of steps are marked with a white line on the top and the bottom steps only.

ACCESS ON SIR CHARLES COURT PROMENADE
The promenade is the main pedestrian route through the campus. At the Elizabeth Jolley lecture theatre complex (building 210), where there is a large set of steps, wheelchair access to the lower path is via the lift in building 202. The lift is conveniently located just inside the western entrance of the building.

BUS AND TRAIN ROUTES
The Curtin bus terminal is serviced frequently by buses to and from Perth city. The new Circleroute bus has low floor entry for easy access and travels between Perth's universities, train stations and shopping centres. It runs every 15 minutes between the hours of 6.30am and 6.00pm. Monday to Friday and at other frequencies outside these hours. Times tables are available from the Student Guild and the International Office.

SECURITY AND EMERGENCIES
The Security Office is located adjacent to the multistorey carpark. Special services offered by the Security Office include:

Campus bus
This free bus travels around the Bentley campus and to student housing on weeknights during the semester. Timetables are available from Security on extension 4444.

Escorts
Staff and students on the Bentley campus may call Security on extension 4444 if they wish to be escorted to their car or to other parts of the campus by a Security Officer after hours. There may be a delay of 10-15 minutes before a Security Oficer is available, so callers should plan ahead.

Advice
Security staff are available to give advice on personal safety and property security to groups or individulas.

Emergency call points
A number of emergency call points are located across campus. Currently located a t taxi stands, these will later be installed at other points across campus. The emergency call points look the same as the campus directional sign posts, but have a distinctive yellow marking. By pushing the emergency button once, the caller is linked directly to the Security Control Room, where they can talk to a Security Officer. A closed-circuit television keeps the caller under visual surveillance for the duration of the call. The devices also have a second button which, when pressed, will link the caller directly to a taxi company.
