New Curtin Security Upgrade Web Site

11 October 2007

The Curtin community now has an easy to way to find out more about how the campus-wide Security Upgrade Project is progressing, with the launch of the new Curtin Security Upgrade Web Site.

The web site provides a broad range of information about how Curtin is working to make our campuses and student housing areas safer and more secure for staff, students and visitors. The site also delivers background information about the Vice Chancellor's commitment to funding the project, personal safety recommendations, the latest security news and details of the many security services that Curtin Security offers, such as the Campus Courtesy Bus, pedestrian escort service and CARDAX electronic building access system.

The Security Upgrade project commenced in 2006, and the program of works will continue to be rolled out throughout 2007 and 2008. Regular monthly updates will be posted on the site during this time.

We encourage all staff and students to carry their Staff or Student ID card with them at all times, not only for identification purposes, but because they will increasingly require thier cards to gain entry to buildings on campus as the CARDAX system is implemented.
